Cinemagraphs

I previously did a post on cinemagraphs where still photographs come alive through minor repeated movements. I found some more of these fantasy like images:

Photographic inspirations

My sister is busy doing a photography course at the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography and I've decided to feature some of her work during this course to see her develop and grow into, what I hope to be, my very talented photo-journalist-blogger for Worded Reflections... This was me committing her for future posts in case you didn't notice.

Some of her work that she sent me_ I've given the titles, perhaps she will accept them as I propose:

Bloglovin'

I found this amazing photography blog yesterday! It is one of the Blog lovin' award winners for 2012 and I can clearly see why! It includes fashion, interior, architecture, landscapes and movies - you will find something of everything here!

From me to you is a blog by a photographer that lives and works in New York and who has an eye for all that is interesting and nice... Here are a few of the shots featured on the blog, but for the full experience I recommend viewing From me to you!

Blogloving

My newest addiction: PhotoDonuts; a blog  where I get my daily dose of photography inspiration. Everyday new photographers are featured!

Today's photo crush:  Dara Scully; see more of this Spanish photographer's work here.
Here are some of her photos featured on PhotoDonuts:

Not only is  her work breathtakingly beautiful, but it is playful and crosses the borders between reality and fantasy to perfectly. I'm a fan!

Then and Now

As an architect I form part of a team of people who are responsible for shaping, developing and ultimately changing our landscapes. A responsibility that should not be taken lightly!

Look at these then and now shots of famous cities to fully grasp what can be done in only a few years, I actually find it quite scary!

Probably the most astonishing, as this was done in just 20 years!!
