Only a few more days before the start of the 2012 London Olympic Games! I am sooooooooo excited! I love watching the games especially the Athletics and Swimming, but then the weird and wonderful sports like Synchronised swimming, Handball and Trampoline can also be EXTREMELY entertaining! Get your game on and get in the Olympic mood this week!

Hello lovelies! I must apologise for neglecting Worded Reflections for a few days - sometimes life just happens and if you don't hold on you will get left behind. Clearly I held on and some aspects of my everyday got left behind. This week will be better - I promise.

Just another Manic Monday

Hello dear readers, I have been humming Manic Monday by the Bangles all day long - now I am yet to find out why as I am actually on a short break, I am visiting my parents in Stellenbosch, but yet this song is the theme song of my day. The song is about a girl that is late for work, so it does not have any significance on my day, strange!

Tell me why we don't like Mondays

 This has been an insanely loooooong day!

The minutes literally crawled past and I was dying to switch off my computer and call it a day. 

So what do I have to look forward to this week? 

Cape Town on the weekend!

Well not really Cape Town, I should rather say the beautiful Cape Winelands - I am going to visit the family in Stellenbosch and it is a visit that is looooong overdue. 

I am excited to see friends and family, spending some quality time with the mother, one of my most favorite people in the world - YAY and getting recharged by the love, laughter and life only family can give.

Although long, today does not rate too high on my Blue-Monday scale - not too bad at all.

I would like to say my day was a Cobalt Turquoise (3) but to be honest I am going with Cobalt Blue (6), perhaps because I like the colour more? How would you rate your day?

Early morning bliss

So its Monday morning and spring is in the air!

I went for a morning training session in the park next to the Emmarentia Dam and I feel alive!

I met with the training group at 05:30 while it was still dark, but within 15minutes the sun slowly greeted the day and the ducks and geese also moved onto the water - wow! It is these gems that exist in the middle of the concrete jungle that keeps me sane.

While we were training a single paddler in his K1 canoe started doing a morning training session_ just him on the water_ it looked amazing! Maybe I should consider paddling? The husband does it, perhaps I should join him? Mmmmm, watch this space!
